Veronaville, Season 2 (Autumn) - Monty I
Bianca Monty was doing well at work. So well, in fact, that she was moving out of her brother’s house, at last!
The plan was for her to live with Kent Capp, who wanted to move to Strangetown. They’d both had enough of all the feuding and fighting, and wanted to get out of Veronaville while they were young. Bianca had hoped they’d be moving in together as man and wife, but it was gradually becoming clear to her that Kent was as gay as anything, and it wasn’t going to happen. Still, he was her best friend. She was certainly going to look after him regardless!
And she was off! To a new life, hopefully. She intended to keep her job in the family restaurant and commute from there, so it wasn’t as if she was abandoning her Monty roots altogether, but she was so sick of everyone she knew getting into brawls all the time!
I didn’t get many pictures of this family, but Benedick would not stop bringing new sims home! The Widespot folks, mostly. He’s pals with Dixie, Goldie and Ginny. Jill Smith is another new friend, and Hal Capp and him go way back. Bottom and Benedick are dating. I had him throw a party just to get them all in there.
Love that ridiculous shot of Dixie and Goldie clipping into each other and Hal looking at them like “woah, what the hell?”
I really need to sort out Goldie’s hair. The braids suit her well enough, but I already have plenty of sims with that hairstyle! Perhaps she’s trying to emulate Dixie? I’m really glad that Goldie has so many friends in this game. It’s good to see her blossoming as a popularity sim!
Also, Bottom/Benedick is really cute. I like the good/boy bad girl vibe they have going on, although time will tell if they’re meant to last.
There’s a lot of smustling in this household. Beatrice prefers to keep it to the privacy of her own room.
Beatrice and her twin are close, but they run with different crowds. Or, well. Beatrice doesn’t have much of a crowd to speak of. As far as she’s concerned her brother goes for quantity over quality.
She does love a good date, though. Woody wasn’t free today so she asks out Puck Summerdream. Okay, he’s involved with one of the Capps (was it Tybalt, Hermia, or both?) but she’s always down for antagonising a Capp or two. A few weeks ago she’d tried being friendly to Juliette Capp but Juliette had just sneered at her outfit so fuck ‘em. Besides, the whole town knew the Summerdreams were all about the free lovin’, even if Benedick tried to tell himself otherwise.
It wasn’t an explosive date, but they had a good time and shared a handful of kisses. (Of course, I completely missed Bottom and Benedick doing the deed in their Dad’s bed upstairs because I was too busy playing the date. Augh, ACR!)
They’re a cute bunch, this family!
It just wouldn’t be my game without Ripp and his friends popping up every other freaking day, would it? He’s on the lookout for new friends since his two closest have gone, I think. (Although Ophelia still made it, so perhaps this chronologically took place before she left for college?
“Not bad, Beat.” Ripp had already invented a nickname for her, “you played before?”
“Nah, I’m just naturally talented at everything I do.”
“Ha! You should meet my twin sister.”
“Oh, you have an oh-so-perfect twin, too?”
“Yeah!! I hate her guts.”
“So what’s the deal, Ripp? New love interest?”
“Yeah, but not for me. Notice I brought Buck along?”
“Ever the altruist, huh? You think they’ll hit it off?”
“I’ve got a hunch. No! Don’t look. Pretend we’re still playing cards.”
“Well, I’ll be damned,” whistled Dustin.
“Just call me the romance expert!”
“Shame you can’t sort out your own crap-heap of a love life, then!” laughed Lilith.
“Hey, thanks for inviting me out. It’s been fun! But I’d better get home before Dad throws a fit.”
“Sure thing. I’ll see you around.”
