Pleasantview Plus
Pleasantview Plus is my longest running save file. It started out pretty casually in 2015, but has since expanded into a huge gameplay/story hybrid, with hundreds of characters.
The neighborhood (or "megahood", as these large combined saves tend to be called) originally consisted of Pleasantview, Strangetown and Veronaville, the three "base game" neighbourhoods, with all of the universities and Downtwon attached. In addition, it also featured Widespot, a custom neighbourhood by Penni Griffin.
Over time, more families were added to the megahood. Desiderata Valley was added in full, and I've even done stuff like making a special "summer camp" neighbourhood for some of the kids to reside in during the summer months. Sims from Bluewater Village and Riverblossom Hills make appearances, but have been integrated into other neighbourhoods.
Currently, I'm on the 5th season - summer - and I'm playing through Veronaville!
I would like to get everything on here eventually, but the neighbourhood is gigantic and it's going to take some time to archive everything! So in the meantime, you can read more about it on my Simblr.
YouTube Neighbourhood Tours
I have been doing a series on YouTube where I tour each subhood and talk a little about how I play, the stories, the history, and so on! Please have a watch if you are interested, I think it makes for a nice introduction/recap to the uberhood.
Storytelling Archives
This section is very much a work in progress, but I would like to eventually archive all of the storytelling I've done for the neighbourhood. It was originally posted to Tumblr and is a bit of a hodge-podge of gameplay with commentary, short summaries, carefully posed stories, little snippets of prose... the works! The style is very much inconsistent and occasioanlly there are continuity issues or plot holes, but I have loved every minute of playing it and making it into a story. It's possible to read the whole thing from the begining, but you can also just click on any chapter that looks interesting and go from there.
Round 1 (Spring and Summer)
The earliest pictures of the neighbourhood, back when I was playing on my old laptop and taking pictures with the in-game snapshot tool in 2015... good times! This first rotation contains the three basegame neighbourhoods, plus Widespot and Academie Le Tour. It's rough around the edges, but sets up some storylines that are still going to this day! I think it has a nostalgic quality too.
