Driftwood MMC - Year 1 - Winter - Shepherd

The Shepherd family is hard at work weaving this winter, trying to make enough blankets to keep the villagers warm!

Hilda and Emily are still fast friends, catching each other up on the local gossip. Poor Hilda is in aspiration failure still, but I have to admit I love the default replacement making her go full Hamlet with it. Whose skull even is that? :/

All right Andy, your loss! Emily’s quite a frustrated young sim, romantically. Most of the bachelors in town are older than her, and none of them seem to be into her!

This picture is completely lacking context, but married merchant Joane Bartly and new recruit Brian Fromond have been getting into fights constantly, its on sight whenever they are on the same lot! They’re also super into each other, which I think is probably the root of the conflict…

Anyway this time Joane’s son Brien saw the fight, so she’s trying to comfort him. Meanwhile Emily’s wathcing it all unfold and probably planning to gossip with Hilda about it all later, haha.

When Hannah gets a break, she usually spends it at the tavern.

Meanwhile, Emily spends every minute of her free time making snow angels. Seriously, it was constant back-to-back angels! I’m thinking of giving her the “loves the cold” trait, she seemed to be having such a blast :’)

The maritime career isn't unlocked yet and I'm not sure they'd even accept female sailors, but I thought this was an interesting want from her! I might give her the sailor trait, too...

It wasn’t long before Michel Rudhall knocked on Hannah’s door. It had been a while since they’d really seen each other, with both of them having little flings with the Morgreen couple, but they seem to have figured out something of an understanding…

He ended up catching her flu, though. For fuck’s sake, I am never going to clear the flu epidemic in this neighbourhood…

Right, and that’s the Shepherd family all done for the winter. They’ll be very busy next time, since spring is lambing season! I’m hopeful they might be able to branch out into making cheese.

I’ve said it before I think, but these two are my favourite household. They’re not amazingly sucessful, but they get by okay. I want only the best for Emily’s future!
