Driftwood MMC - Year 1 - Winter - Rudhall
The Rudhalls had plenty of piglets joining their herd of swine this winter. But Rose has been a little restless - she doesn’t mind caring for the hogs but wishes her brother and father didn’t insist on living like pigs, too! She gets so tired of cleaning up after everyone and being the responsible one.
Her father Michael owes a huge fine for assulting the future lord of the manor, Elliot Morgreen. And while he was able to sell some horseshit to the local merchants to sell as fertiliser, the family was running low on food. So, Rose headed into the forrest to do a little foraging.
She left the forrest with a bad case of poisoning and a broken heart! It seemed like Joshua is smitten with Emily, now. He agreed to be freinds, but seemed to have solely lost interest in her! Maybe she’d taken his affections for granted…
To my surprise - Michael sat down with Primrose when they were on a community lot and had a civil chat with her. And, later on, Elliot actually came over and apologised! So, since they didn’t seem to be holding any ill-will towards him, I decided to lower the $5,000 fine to a more reasonable $2,000.
Maybe the Morgreens talked about it together and have decided to look the other way when it comes to extra-marital activities? (We’ll see, haha, I feel like sims never stay reasonable for long).
I have not really been paying much attention to lifetime wants in this save, for obvious reasons, but when I saw Rose’s LTW I took pity on her and decided the family could keep the weird tree “telescope” from last round. I gave her a knowledge secondary, too, since she’s very shy and neat which I feel is the stereotypical knowlege sim vibe.
She still grew up badly, though! Poor thing has not been that sucessful as a romance sim, since she is very shy. Here’s hoping adulthood will be kinder to her.
Then, on the final day of play, she spotted her friend Finley Dowrick on a community lot, flirted with him on her own, and they fell in love! To my horror Nigel saw everything and was completely heartbroken…
Michael and Thomas are best friends and thrilled to hear their kids are seeing each other - maybe they’ll become family! But as a romance sim Rose actually fears marriage, and Finley’s feelings for Nigel are very strong. It would be a practical match, and they do seem to love each other, but I’m a little torn about it!
I did not get as many pictures of James, but according to ACR he has a huge fat crush on Margery Mondegreen. She’s married, so he settles for hanging out at the tavern a bunch & flirting with her little sister Annie, who is a good friend of his and closer to him in age, anyway.
Oh yes, and due to ROS the family got a free cow that wandered onto their property. Since its just a lone heifer its not like she’ll produce milk or calves, though, so maybe they’re best off just slaughtering it… I’ll decide next time, since its the end of the round for the Rudhalls!
